Arnhem, Netherlands—November 27, 2024— Rivers International School Arnhem hosted an engaging Extended Essay (EE) workshop on November 25 and 26, designed to empower International Baccalaureate (IB) students in their academic journey. The one-day event brought together students and faculty in an environment that facilitated curiosity, critical thinking, and research skills.

The Extended Essay is a cornerstone of the IB Diploma Programme, requiring students to produce a self-directed, 4,000-word research paper on a topic of their choice. Recognizing the challenges of this rigorous task, Rivers International School Arnhem organized the workshop to provide students in DP1 with the tools and guidance needed to excel. These tools included AI research-based tools. Starting earlier will also mean DP1 students can complete their work with more time. The event also emphasized interdisciplinary exploration, encouraging students to draw connections between their EE subjects.
