Living in a foreign country can be a daunting experience. You will move here with many questions and even the most basic tasks can become a challenge.
Our International Parents Council (IPC) is the first port of call for new families arriving at our school – and we’re here to lend a hand. IPC welcomes you to our community, offers support, and helps find new friends. Each IPC parent understands the challenges new families encounter. We’ve all been there and have the knowledge and experience to make your transition into the Netherlands as smooth as possible.
What we do
IPC's opinion is valued by the school administration in the decision-making process and day-to-dayactivities. The council meets every six weeks, with all Rivers parents welcome to attend.
The IPC assists in facilitating extracurricular activities for pupils, which strengthens the sense of community and their connection to Rivers. We also organize social activities for parents throughout theschool year. We have several to choose from, including dedicated clubs for monthly lunch gatherings, movies, books, art, and cooking.
We would love to have new parents join us! Please send a message to the group leader. To begin receiving the Rivers Connection newsletter, which is distributed once a month, please email riversconnection@gmail.com with your information and your preference(s).
